Office of Minority Educational Development (OMED)
OMED is the educational services unit at the Georgia Institute of Technology charged with the retention and performance of institute’s underrepresented students (African American, Hispanic and Native American). OMED develops and operates programs in the areas of orientation, transition, academic support, coaching and reaffirmation. Though these programs target underrepresented students, most of these programs are open to all students.

Office of Student Diversity Programs
The Office of Student Diversity Programs continues to make an impact with students. The office fosters a vision of diversity appreciation, which is actualized through intentional educational programming in support of the Institute's Strategic Plan. The Office of Student Diversity Programs meets the needs of underrepresented populations by coordinating and planning educational opportunities which enhance interaction and learning across groups. Through its programs and services, the office assists the campus community in embracing the rich cultural diversity within the Institute.

Women's Resource Center

The Office of Diversity Programs and Issues operates a Women’s Resource Center, which strives to create a more inclusive environment for women and promotes diversity through programs, resources, training, and other vehicles that drive the center’s mission. Below are services offered by the center:
- Assist student groups to develop and implement programming for the campus that fosters greater understanding of and responsiveness to women’s needs and concerns
- Assist students in locating and utilizing campus and community resources
- Provide access to a resource collection of contemporary books, articles, magazines and journals with an emphasis on women
- Advocate changes in campus policies or practices that impact women’s educational experience and opportunities
- Provide opportunities for women to build skills that prepare them for life after graduation, particularly leadership skills
- Foster a sense of community among the many Tech organizations committed to enhancing the achievements of women
- Provide a comfortable gathering place for students to meet and share their diverse knowledge and interest
