Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Title VII prohibits discrimination in any employment action on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin and religion: provided enforcement mechanism through creation of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing Title VII regulations.
